From Reader to Writer
I’m a writer, but first I was a reader. I grew up disappearing into books—drawn to new worlds, to characters who struggled and changed, to the quiet lessons tucked between the lines. My parents sent me to school with blank checks during book fairs, and I spent most of my allowance on whatever story I wanted to live with next.
Words have always held power for me. That early love of reading is the reason empathy became one of my superpowers—and empathy is what strengthens my writing. It helps me stay centered on the person on the receiving end of my words: what they need, what they’re trying to understand, and how language can make something feel clearer, calmer, or more possible.
Before transitioning into writing and content development, I spent nearly a decade teaching English. That work shaped my approach to communication: with precision, intention, and a deep appreciation for how language can help people feel grounded and capable.
